Looking for a meaningful and exciting way to celebrate our 250th Independence Day? Come join us for an evening of fellowship, prayer, and Gospel conversations at the annual Yankee Doodle Pops Orchestra and Fireworks Celebration at the Iowa Capitol Grounds!
On Friday, July 3, we’ll gather at 5:00 p.m. at Calvary Chapel Des Moines (606 East 9th Street, Des Moines, IA 50309) before heading over to the Capitol grounds, where thousands will be gathering for an unforgettable night of music from the Des Moines Symphony and fireworks.
Our evening will begin with a time of prayer as we seek the Lord’s guidance and blessing. We’ll also distribute Gospel tracts and outreach resources, discuss simple ways to engage people in conversation, and encourage one another before heading into the crowd.
This is a fantastic opportunity to connect one-on-one with people who may never step inside a church but are open to friendly conversation. Whether you’re experienced in evangelism or joining for the first time, you’ll be welcomed, encouraged, and equipped to share Christ and engage in conversation.
