CPR: Christ Provided…

On February 2, 2025 I was blessed with the opportunity to share a message at Calvary Chapel Raccoon River Valley in Panora, Iowa entitled CPR: Christ Provided…

Like CPR, we cannot save ourselves from our sin and death to have eternal life with our Heavenly Father forever. We have a better chance of climbing a rope of sand to the moon than to get to heaven in our own strength. We are dead in our trespasses and sins (Ephesians 2:1). We have no life in us, and like CPR, we need someone to give us life that has it—and that is Christ. And how He does that is absolutely amazing.

Watch the above teaching as I explain the five things that Christ provided (CPR) on the cross for us to have eternal life:

  1. Righteousness
  2. Redemption
  3. Reconciliation
  4. Restoration
  5. Resurrection

Questions to ask yourself

Watch the teaching above and ask yourself the following questions:

  1. We sometimes don’t share the gospel with someone because they look relaxed and don’t want to bother them or ruin their day by telling them they are going to hell when they die. Is that always the case?
  2. How do you think the Samaritan woman’s life changed in John 4 after leading the whole town to Jesus?
  3. How does Christ’s 5 R’s influence you to share your faith in Jesus?
  4. Read the Gospel of John and note everywhere the word, “believe/belief” is used. How does that influence you to share the gospel?
  5. How are you like the unclean that those whom Jesus healed? How are you reaching out to the unclean saying “come and see” Jesus?
