Top Tier Training

This year we will have special guest speaker Jonathan Noyes from Stand to Reason, the makers of the Tactics in Defending the Faith training we have used in the past. Noyes will be speaking on the truth about relativism , in which truth has become secondary to feelings and pleasure. He will talk about the history of relativism and offer tools we can use to help others see what is wrong with this belief and why it doesn’t accurately reflect the world around us.

Parade Evangelism

After the in-class training, we will be gathering out tracts and gear to go out onto the streets of downtown Des Moines to share our faith to the lost during the St. Patrick’s Day parade. We will meet at the parade route about an hour before it begins. Starting with prayer we will then break off into small teams to distribute tracts and share the gospel ahead of the parade.

This is a very easy distribution and the event has become more family-friendly than ever before. Even if you’ve never done this before, you will be paired with a leader and someone who has done this before. Look the person in the eyes, extend the tract and say, “Did you get one of these?” or “Happy St. Patrick’s Day!” People love getting them and hardly ever turned down. Just watch the video on the original post of Tony Ramsek and how he evangelizes the lost in parades.
